Shape the Future of Food Production - Technical Project Manager / Mechanical Designer within Industrial Machinery and Process Equipment

Do you want a key role where you can combine project management, design, drafting, problem-solving, and hands-on execution? We are looking for a technically strong and proactive individual who can drive projects from concept and development to final installation, commissioning, and handover - and who enjoys working closely with both customers and teams.

About Livoo

What is Livoo all about?

Livoo is an innovative food technology and ingredients company focused on creating new value from existing food resources.

We combine technology, sustainability and circularity to transform food industry side streams into high-quality, functional ingredients with real commercial value.

Our ingredient portfolio includes OATup®, a circular oat-based ingredient with a strong nutritional and functional profile and applications across several food categories.

We are now entering an exciting phase of commercial growth - and we are looking for someone who wants to help build that journey with us.

About the Role

What will you actually be doing?

As a Technical Project Manager / Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for leading technical projects related to industrial machinery, process equipment, and production solutions. You will work closely with production, suppliers, workshops, external technical consultants, and internal stakeholders - often in an international context.

The role includes clear responsibility for both design and CAD drafting, where you produce documentation used directly in workshops and production. You will also play an important role in customer interactions, ensuring you understand requirements, communicate solutions, and deliver projects according to agreed specifications and contracts.

You enjoy working in teams, collaborating across functions, and building strong relationships with customers and partners.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Lead technical projects from planning through execution, installation, and commissioning.
  • Produce design drawings, manufacturing documentation, and technical documentation in CAD.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, manufacturable, and adapted for workshops or external suppliers.
  • Actively participate in the development of new machine solutions, process equipment, and production improvements.
  • Manage customer dialogue throughout projects - from needs analysis to follow-up and delivery.
  • Ensure projects are executed according to contract, specifications, and agreed scope.
  • Coordinate suppliers, installers, workshops, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Identify technical risks, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
  • Ensure technical solutions are practical, cost-effective, and robust.
  • Contribute to structure, documentation, and standardization of technical solutions.

Who are we looking for?

Do you recognise yourself?
  • Experience in project management within industry, mechanical engineering, process equipment, or production.
  • Strong CAD skills and experience independently producing manufacturing drawings.
  • Understanding of mechanical design, machine components, and industrial installations.
  • Experience with commissioning, start-up, or technical troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Experience in customer interaction and the ability to manage and lead customer dialogue in projects.
  • Ability to work in a structured and detail-oriented manner, following contracts, requirements, and project scope.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions with customers, workshops, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • A practical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and drive projects forward.
  • Good proficiency in English, as you will work in an international environment.

Meritorious
  • Experience from process industry, food production, automation, or industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of hygienic design, stainless steel, piping, pumps, valves, or process flows.
  • Experience with CE marking, machine safety, or technical documentation.
  • Experience in supplier management, procurement, or workshop manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of automation, PLCs, electrical systems, or control systems is a plus, but not required.

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, we believe you are someone who takes responsibility, is detail-oriented and structured, and sees solutions where others see problems. You are technically curious and confident in making decisions when projects need to move forward.

You enjoy working in teams and collaborate easily with colleagues, customers, and external partners. You like interacting with people, building relationships, and taking ownership of communication throughout the entire project.

You appreciate working close to reality, seeing the results of your work in production, and being a key link between idea, design, manufacturing, and operation - in a company that is growing internationally and driving development forward.

Competitive Compensation

We offer a competitive fixed salary with the opportunity for performance-based compensation linked to commercial results.
