Team Manager - Service

Silex Microsystems is the world's leading pure-play MEMS foundry. We customize MEMS solutions for prominent global clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, and the automotive industry. We were founded in 2000 in a KTH lab by, among others, current CEO Edvard Kälvesten. Our headquarters and factory are located in Järfälla.

About the role

Silex team is growing and to support our growing organisation we are now adding four experienced and structured Team Managers to lead and develop our Service Team within Manufacturing. We are looking for Team managers for below areas:

Plasma etch and DRIE

Plasma Dep and Furnace

Lithography and Bond

Wet Chemistry, Analysis and Backend

In this role, you will have a key responsibility for your team's performance, development, and daily operations. You will combine people leadership with planning, coordination, and follow-up of maintenance and service activities, working closely with colleagues across Manufacturing to ensure reliable and efficient production. You will be responsible for a team of about 10 Service Technicians.

You will be part of a highly collaborative production environment where clear communication, structured planning, and continuous improvement are important. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys leading people while also having a big interest and experience in technology, maintenance, and production.

Key Responsibilities

As a Team Manager, you will lead and support a team of Service Technicians and ensure that the team has the right conditions to perform and develop. You will work closely with Area Managers, Engineers and other functions to coordinate activities, priorities, and resources. Besides the personnel responsibility, you will also be expected to work hands-on in the clean room together with your team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Lead, support, and develop Service Technicians through clear communication, feedback, and regular follow-up.

Set and follow up individual and team goals and support competence development.

Plan, coordinate and if needed, perform, maintenance activities and allocate work based on priorities, competence, and available resources.

Coordinate activities and priorities with other teams and shifts.

Follow up KPIs, maintenance activities, and agreed improvement actions.

Identify and escalate issues, risks, and resource needs when required.

Coordinate with external suppliers and service partners when needed.

Contribute to a safe, reliable, and continuously improving production environment.

We are looking for someone who

We believe you have experience leading or coordinating people in a technical, production, or maintenance environment. You are comfortable taking responsibility, creating structure, and working with different stakeholders to move activities forward.

You have:

A bachelor's degree in engineering or at least 10 years of relevant experience within mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.

Technical experience of equipment, maintenance, and production environments from a similar industry.

Experience in leadership, coordination, and people management.

Strong communication skills and the ability to support and develop others.

Strong planning and organizational skills.

The ability to prioritize and coordinate several activities in a dynamic environment.

A structured and solution-oriented way of working.

The ability to build good relationships and collaborate across teams and organizational levels.

Fluency in English, spoken and written. Swedish is considered highly beneficial.
