Responsibilities

Define, establish, and validate system verification environments based on system behavior and component interfaces

Integrate, verify, and validate electrical and functional systems at sub-system level

Ensure verification is performed at the correct V‑model level

Execute verification according to defined scopes, plans, and directives

Analyze verification results and draw conclusions when system behavior is partially defined

Identify, drive, and resolve system and integration issues

Secure system quality, robustness, and readiness before release

Take operational responsibility for day‑to‑day system verification delivery

Lead system verification and system engineering activities within a technical team

Drive our shift left strategy for Vehicle Control group.

Own and maintain assigned ECUs and Embedded Software (ESW) throughout the lifecycle

Ensure ECU and ESW fulfill system and technical requirements (quality, timing, cost)

Plan and follow up ECU/ESW development with internal and external suppliers

Ensure node verification aligns with system verification needs and strategy

Own and maintain SW Requirement Specifications and Technical Requirements

Coordinate, document, and release ECU and ESW according to Volvo processes

Maintain SW Configurator, RxSWIN JSON, and related structures

Act as main technical contact for the node towards projects, factories, and aftermarket

Update, create and maintain the TARA, making sure we are CS compliance

REQUIREMENTS

- Be the expert of the assigned End User Functions and related use cases.

- Knowledge of the writing high level requirements.

- Automotive domain knowledge.

- Knowledge about vehicle feature roadmaps.

- Ability to develop and manage requirements using requirement management tools.

- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

- General knowledge of vehicle development and verification.

- ISO26262 (FuSa/ HARA), Cyber security (TARA) knowledge is a must, as you will be working closely with our FuSa and CS teams to drive these for your functions.

- SystemWeaver knowledge is a must

- Preferably knowledge of the Vector tools.

- Worked in Jira, and been part of Agile WoW.

This role further require you to work with non end user functions, such as system functionality.
