Role Summary
We are strengthening our capability to leverage Artificial Intelligence across R&D to support Scania's transformation towards sustainable transport solutions. As an Architect, you will contribute to defining and driving the AI strategy, enabling more efficient development processes and increased customer value.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions that support critical business processes and customer-facing services. You will also ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with Scania's way of working and core values.

TRPS - AI Enablement & Strategies is a newly established group within Scania R&D China focused on accelerating the adoption of AI and digital capabilities across R&D. Our mission is to enable smarter, faster, and more data-driven ways of working that support Scania's transformation towards sustainable transport solutions.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design and technical strategy for enterprise applications.
- Design and develop cloud-native microservices and distributed systems.
- Drive modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to modern cloud environments.
- Own technical roadmaps, architecture documentation, and governance practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor development teams and external consultants.
- Establish and improve CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering practices.
- Support secure adoption of AI and emerging technologies where appropriate.
- Participate in solution design, requirement analysis, implementation, testing, and production support.
- Contribute to building long-term capability within AI and data across the organization
- Act as a role model in promoting Scania's core values and continuous improvement mindset
Who You Are

- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving
- Experience working in global and cross-functional environments
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing enterprise architectures and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and system integrations.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background working in digital security.
- Strong stakeholder management and business communication skills.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving modernization programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital signing, customer onboarding, banking platforms, or financial services.
- Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Developer.
- MBA or business education with interest in technology strategy and innovation.
- Experience working with enterprise integration technologies such as IBM MQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and workflow orchestration platforms.
