Software Verification Engineer

Are you an experienced Verification Engineer with an interest in embedded systems, vehicle dynamics, and system-level testing? Do you enjoy working closely with development teams and contributing to high-quality software solutions in a complex technical environment? Then this could be an interesting opportunity for you! ALTEN is currently looking for a Software Verification Engineer for an assignment with one of our major clients within the automotive industry.

Main responsibilities

Create and maintain test cases and verification scenarios on both ECU and system level

Perform verification activities in SIL, HIL, and vehicle test environments

Execute and analyze regression tests, primarily within automated test setups

Develop and continuously improve verification methods, strategies, and ways of working

Work closely with software developers, function owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders

Support quality assurance activities through documentation and analysis of verification results

Investigate and troubleshoot identified issues and deviations

Contribute to both short-term deliveries and long-term product development within an agile team

Your profile

You are a structured and analytical engineer with a passion for quality and embedded technology. You enjoy working in collaborative environments and take ownership of your tasks while contributing to the success of the team as a whole.

We see that you have:

M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Experience with verification, testing, or validation of embedded real-time systems

Good understanding of mechatronic systems, control systems, or system development within automotive applications

Experience working in agile development teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Meritorious experience

It is considered a merit if you have experience with one or more of the following:

SIL, HIL, or vehicle-based testing environments

Automotive software verification and validation

CANoe, CANalyzer, or other Vector tools

CT Studio, SystemWeaver, GIT, or Vector DaVinci

Python, C#, or C++ programming

ISO 26262 and functional safety processes

Vehicle dynamics, suspension control systems, or mechatronic control systems

Power BI or other analysis and reporting tools
