Software Engineer - Fullstack

TL;DR

We're looking for a Software Engineer - Fullstack who wants to build the systems that automate how the world's largest financial institutions do research. You'll work closely with our Head of Engineering, CPO, and the rest of the product development team to build and maintain the systems that power our AI platform.

Why Grasp

Grasp is an agentic AI platform for finance. The $1.4 trillion financial advisory industry relies heavily on costly and scarce cognitive labor. The industry is so inefficient that advisory firms can charge millions of dollars for teams of junior employees, whose work is 90% manual and repetitive. It is clear that AI will automate large parts of this work and provide a massive uplift in productivity.

Grasp already counts 250+ of the world's largest financial institutions among its customers, spanning investment banks, private equity firms, and management consultancies including all Big 4, to automate complex company and market research workflows. We're growing 4x per year and are backed by globally renowned investors such as Octopus Ventures and Yanno Capital.

As part of our core technical team, you will be working on the absolute frontier of AI, building an LLM-based product with very strong customer traction.

Role

As a Software Engineer - Fullstack at Grasp, you will work closely with our Head of Engineering and CPO to ship a product used daily by the world's largest financial institutions. You're a generalist at heart and you care about the end result and will do whatever it takes to get there, whether that's designing a data pipeline, building an API, or shipping a new UI feature.

The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden. We use an in-person work model. We offer unlimited Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor spend and expect you to use this to the fullest extent.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining scalable, high-quality systems and features across the full stack
• Collaborating closely with our Head of Engineering and CPO to rapidly iterate based on customer feedback
• Ensuring robust performance and reliability of our platform
• Contributing to architectural decisions and the overall technology roadmap
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

Skills and requirements

For this role you should:

• Have a proven track record of building high-quality software systems
• Be proficient in TypeScript and React
• Have strong general software engineering skills, including system design, databases, and performance optimization
• Have experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment (we use GCP)
• Be comfortable with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, and maximize its usage

Additionally, we think you will thrive in this role if you:

• Are a self-starter with a high degree of self-directedness
• Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience with Next.js, OpenSearch, or Terraform is a plus.
