Smart Manufacturing Engineer

Do you want to help build the next generation of truly smart factories?

As aSmart Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing modern Industrial IoT architectures with a strong focus on theUnified Namespace (UNS). You will work at theintersection of OT and IT, helping industrial clients transition from isolated systems to real-time, scalable, and standardized data ecosystems.

In this role, you will:
• Work hands-on with UNS architecture in real industrial environments
• Build real-time data flows from PLC to cloud
• Influence the direction of future factory architectures
• Work with modern technologies such as MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC UA, and edge solutions
• Operate as a technical specialist in a senior, collaborative team

• Build Unified Namespace solutions
Design and implement scalable UNS architectures based on ISA-95.

Develop real-time data pipelines
Configure MQTT brokers (e.g., HiveMQ, EMQX, Mosquitto), work with Sparkplug B, and build robust event-driven data flows.

Integrate OT and IT systems
Connect PLC, SCADA, MES, and cloud platforms via OPC UA and other industrial protocols.

Bridge business and technology
Translate operational needs into technical solutions, enabling cohesive data flows from factory floor to enterprise.

Contribute in workshops and presales
Participate in design sessions, customer discussions, and-when needed-presales activities.

Kvalifikationer för att bli framgångsrik denna roll
Language Requirements
Fluent English (spoken and written) - required
Knowledge of Swedish - meritorious

Core Experience:
Unified Namespace (UNS):
Practical experience designing and implementing UNS solutions aligned with ISA-95.

MQTT & Sparkplug B:
Experience working with MQTT brokers (HiveMQ, EMQX, Mosquitto) and topic modeling.

PLC Integration & Industrial Systems:
Hands-on experience with Siemens, Rockwell, or Beckhoff and working with OPC UA.

Industrial Protocols & OT Environments:
Familiarity with OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet (or similar) and confidence working in production environments.

IIoT & Integration:
Experience connecting production systems with enterprise or cloud platforms.

CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code:
Structured approach to version control and automation.

Meritorious
Experience with MES and ERP integration
Edge computing and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Cybersecurity in industrial environments
Experience with Ignition, Litmus, Kepware, or similar platforms
