Beskrivning
Senior Simulation & Autonomous Driving Engineer - Neural Reconstruction & Closed-Loop Simulation
We are looking for a senior technical consultant to join an advanced development project within autonomous driving, AI and simulation.
The assignment focuses on integrating a neural-reconstruction-based closed-loop simulation platform with an autonomous driving stack. The goal is to build a scalable, high-fidelity testing environment where autonomous driving policies, perception models and vehicle motion-control systems can be safely developed and validated across large numbers of virtual highway and depot scenarios.
This is a highly technical and multidisciplinary assignment suited to someone who enjoys working at the intersection of AI, computer vision, 3D reconstruction, simulation, robotics and distributed systems.
The role
You will contribute to building and integrating a scalable simulation and testing framework, including:
We are particularly interested in experience in the following areas
The profile is deliberately broad. It is not expected that one person has experience across every area. We are particularly interested in senior candidates with deep expertise in at least two of the following:
1. Neural Reconstruction & Photorealistic Rendering
Hands-on experience with neural rendering and 3D scene reconstruction, such as 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), NeRFs or NVIDIA NuRec, particularly for transforming real-world camera and LiDAR data into realistic simulation environments.
2. Closed-Loop Autonomous Driving Simulation
Experience building or working with closed-loop simulation environments where vehicle actions affect the simulated environment, sensor inputs and subsequent vehicle states.
3. Distributed Systems & MLOps
Experience with containerized infrastructure such as Docker and Kubernetes, preferably including large-scale simulation workloads in cloud environments such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
4. NVIDIA Simulation Ecosystem
Hands-on experience with technologies such as NVIDIA Omniverse, DRIVE Sim or related NVIDIA simulation platforms. Experience extending Python/C++ interfaces, gRPC services or custom simulation plugins is highly relevant.
5. Vehicle Dynamics & Robotics
Experience with robotics, vehicle dynamics modelling or physics-engine integration. Experience with tools such as Chrono, Simcenter Amesim, CarSim or TruckSim is a plus, particularly experience related to heavy vehicles.
6. Modern AI Driving Policies
Experience with end-to-end autonomous driving architectures, VLA-based policies, trajectory generation or related AI/ML approaches. Experience with modern driving-policy frameworks is particularly relevant.
Who you are
You are a senior engineer, developer, researcher or technical specialist who is comfortable working with complex technical systems and solving problems across disciplinary boundaries.
You are able to work independently, take ownership of technical challenges and quickly understand unfamiliar systems and technologies. Experience from autonomous driving, robotics, computer vision, AI/ML, simulation or adjacent fields is highly relevant.
Given the specialist nature of the assignment, depth of expertise in a few relevant areas is more important than superficial experience across all of them.
Assignment details
This is an opportunity to work on technically advanced problems at the intersection ofautonomous driving, neural reconstruction, AI and large-scale simulation, in a highly specialized engineering environment.
