Senior Security Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Security Consultant to join us at Telia Cygate.

My name is Anders Liljekow, and I lead our cybersecurity consulting business. I'm looking for someone who wants to help our customers navigate an increasingly complex security landscape while combining deep technical expertise with trusted advisory. You will join a team of experienced specialists and consultants who help organizations design, secure, and future-proof their IT environments.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Security Consultant, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and develop secure IT environments while acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.

This is a senior and highly customer-facing role where you will combine technical expertise with strategic advisory, helping customers make informed decisions around cybersecurity, network security, and modern infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

• Lead customer dialogues and act as a trusted advisor in security-related initiatives
• Design and implement secure customer environments and solutions
• Lead workshops, assessments, and technical discussions with customers
• Support sales and presales activities by providing technical expertise and solution recommendations
• Collaborate with specialists across Security, Networking, Hybrid IT, and Cloud
• Take ownership of customer assignments and drive engagements independently
• Contribute to competence development and knowledge sharing within the team
• Help customers strengthen their security posture and prepare for future challenges

You will work with both technical specialists and decision-makers, requiring the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.

What will help you thrive in this role:

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical competence with excellent communication and consulting skills.

You likely bring:

• 7+ years of experience within cybersecurity, network security, IT infrastructure, or related areas
• Experience working in a customer-facing consulting or advisory role
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to independently lead workshops, customer meetings, and security discussions
• Experience supporting solution design, architecture, or presales activities
• A consultative mindset and genuine interest in understanding customer challenges
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in Swedish (native or near-native) and good English

We believe you have experience within one or more of the following areas:

• Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco or similar security platforms
• Network security and infrastructure
• Firewalls, segmentation, secure access, and threat protection
• DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing technologies
• Security architecture and risk-based security design
