About the Role

You will help shape a modern data foundation in a global automotive and powertrain environment where reliable data is critical for reporting, analytics, and AI-driven insights. In this role, you will use Databricks to design and build scalable data solutions that make business-critical information secure, governed, and accessible across the organization.

You will work in an enterprise analytics and insights setting with close collaboration across business stakeholders, analytics specialists, platform teams, and source-system owners. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural thinking, giving you real influence over how data is integrated, modeled, automated, and operated at scale. Job DescriptionYou will design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms in Databricks, including data lakes, lakehouses, data warehouses, enterprise data services, and ETL/ELT frameworks.

You will build, optimize, and support data pipelines and integration workflows across systems such as ERP, HR, Finance, and CRM to enable trusted analytics and business use.

You will create reusable data products through data modeling, metadata management, and sound data architecture practices.

You will strengthen data quality, lineage, security, governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance across the platform.

You will improve data operations through monitoring, testing, automation, performance tuning, cost optimization, and recovery practices.

You will translate business and analytical needs into sustainable technical solutions together with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to engineering excellence through documentation, technical reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

RequirementsYou have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, Databricks, integration engineering, or a comparable technical role, designing and delivering scalable cloud-based data solutions and enterprise data pipelines.

You have advanced knowledge of data engineering principles, enterprise data architecture, data integration, and cloud-based data platforms.

You have strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, batch and streaming concepts, orchestration, dependency management, and error handling.

You have advanced SQL skills and strong capability in programming or scripting for data transformation and automation.

You have solid experience integrating data from multiple business domains into governed analytics platforms with robust data models for reporting, analytics, and advanced data use cases.

You have experience with production-grade data solutions, including data quality controls, monitoring, troubleshooting, operational support, and continuous improvement.

You understand data governance, lineage, metadata, access control, privacy, retention, and secure data handling.

You are comfortable collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders and supporting other engineers through technical reviews and mentoring.
