The internship in short

The programme kicks off with an engaging Introduction Week, where you'll get to know SEB, meet professionals across the CIB division, get to know other interns and start building your network. During the introduction you will participate in learning and networking activities. We wrap up the experience with a Closing Day to reflect on, share, and celebrate your internship journey.
As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship.

What You Will Do

You will join the XVA desk and support activities related to derivative pricing, risk management and analytics across Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) markets.
The role combines quantitative analysis, Python development, AI-driven solutions and data-driven problem solving to enhance pricing, risk management and analytics capabilities. Depending on business needs, you may also contribute to projects focused on capital efficiency, risk management and the development of new analytical tools and technologies.
Working in a dynamic trading floor environment, you will gain hands-on insight into financial markets, derivative products and the day-to-day activities of a global trading business.

We're looking for a curious and motivated student with a genuine interest in financial markets.
You enjoy exploring data, spotting patterns, and thinking analytically.
You're detail-oriented, thrive in fast-moving environments, and work well with others to solve problems and share ideas.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in a quantitative field.

• Excellent analytical skills

• Very good programming skills (Python) and experience of using AI to solve problems

• Knowledge in machine learning is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A curious and proactive mindset
