The role

As our Project Manager within Supply Chain, you will manage global supply chain projects from initial scope and planning through execution, follow-up and handover to the maintenance phase.

You will coordinate activities between main project and across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D and other relevant functions, while working closely with our EMS and ODM suppliers. A key part of the role is ensuring that new products and manufacturing processes meet Ascom's requirements regarding quality, capacity, cost, flexibility and lead time. The position is based at our office in Gothenburg and includes international collaboration and frequent travel to supplier sites.

Your responsibilities

Plan, lead and follow up supply chain projects, including scope, timelines, deliverables, risks and reporting.

Ensure quality assurance and on-time delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate product introductions and secure a smooth transition into ramp-up, mass production and the maintenance phase.

Ensure that products are manufactured and repaired according to Ascom's requirements for quality, capacity and lead time.

Manage project progress with EMS and ODM suppliers, including cost, quality management plans, yield, capacity, efficiency and pre-series activities.

Confirm that manufacturing processes and deliveries are developed, validated and ready for implementation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate activities across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D, Marketing and other relevant functions.

Support the continuous improvement and standardization of supply chain project methods, processes and ways of working.

Contribute to a stable, secure and continuously improving global supply chain.

What you bring

A master's degree in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering or a related technical field.

Several years of experience within Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance.

Proven experience leading projects and cross-functional project teams.

Strong knowledge of project management methods, planning, risk management and stakeholder coordination.

Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, production flow, test methods and industrialization.

Experience working with external manufacturing partners, preferably EMS or ODM suppliers.

Experience and strong knowledge in translating technical requirements into clear manufacturing, supplier and quality deliverables.

A good understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, including production, testing, logistics, purchasing and quality assurance.

Experience building and developing strong, long-term supplier relationships.

Knowledge of ERP systems and good proficiency in Microsoft 365.

An understanding of Lean Production principles and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication skills and professional fluency in English.

Who you are

You are a structured, proactive and technically skilled Project Manager with a strong understanding of production processes, engineering drawings and technical specifications. You can quickly identify gaps, clarify requirements and drive practical solutions together with suppliers and internal teams. You communicate clearly, follow up systematically and balance technical detail with project progress.

You are comfortable in bringing people, processes and priorities together while navigating complex projects where requirements may evolve and where successful outcomes depend on collaboration across organisational and geographical boundaries.

You have strong technical skills, communicate clearly, build trust with suppliers and colleagues, and know how to influence decisions without relying on formal authority. You combine attention to detail with a strong understanding of the bigger picture and are motivated by improving quality, efficiency and ways of working.
