Network Specialist

As a Network Specialist at GlobalConnect, you will identify and drive improvements across customer network solutions - from optimization and service improvement to migrations and modernization.

You will combine your network expertise with analytical and commercial thinking to turn complex challenges into practical recommendations and measurable improvements.

• Strong understanding of network services, telecommunications infrastructure, and how network solutions are designed, delivered, and operated.
• Experience working with telecom services, network infrastructure, or customer network solutions.
• Experience analyzing technical solutions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions from both operational and commercial perspectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

About the role and the team

You will be part of the Line Management team and work across a broad network of internal and external stakeholders. Internally, you will collaborate with colleagues across areas such as Product Management, Service Delivery, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Procurement, and Network Engineering.

Your focus will be on creating long-term value by improving customer solutions, network services, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness. You will identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and drive improvements within your area of responsibility.

You will also contribute to migration, transformation, and network modernization initiatives, helping ensure that technical decisions support both customer needs and GlobalConnect's business objectives.

What you'll be working on

• Analyze existing customer network solutions and identify technical and commercial optimization opportunities.
• Drive improvements that strengthen service performance, robustness, customer value, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate network services, infrastructure, and service delivery models and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and support business cases based on technical analysis, commercial considerations, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive or contribute to customer migrations, service transformations, and network modernization initiatives, including technical feasibility and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support successful implementation and value realization.
• Contribute to the development of methods, tools, and best practices that improve how we optimize and manage network services.

Who we are looking for

You take ownership of your work and enjoy solving complex problems where the right solution is not always immediately clear. You are curious about how network solutions are built and operated, but also interested in understanding the customer and business context behind them.

You are able to balance technical, operational, commercial, and customer considerations and turn your analysis into clear recommendations and practical actions. You are comfortable working independently while collaborating across several functions and stakeholder groups.

You communicate clearly and are able to explain complex technical matters in a way that supports business decisions. You are motivated by finding opportunities, challenging existing ways of working, and turning ideas into measurable improvements.

Experience with service delivery and lifecycle management, or participation in service transformation and migration activities, is beneficial. A relevant degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience is also an advantage.
