🔧 We're Hiring: Mechanical Design Engineer

We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of our prototype machines — from initial design concept all the way through to production.

Shortly about Infrasonik:

Infrasonik is a small Swedish deep tech company based in Spånga, Stockholm, with nearly a decade of technology development. We're a small team with a big ambition: to make industrial drying and cooling radically more energy-efficient by using a mechanism no other company in our field relies on, low-frequency acoustic waves rather than convection, mechanical compression, or chemical processes. This physical difference takes shape in two products: InfraDryer for food processing and agriculture, and InfraCooling for the steel industry. At Infrasonik we speak both English and Swedish, but fluent English is a requirement.

What you'll bring:

✅ Strong background in machine design (at least 3 years of prior experience in the field)

✅ Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

✅ Solid understanding of production drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing techniques

✅ DFM/DFA knowledge — designing parts that are manufacturable, not just functional

✅ Technical understanding of FMEA and simulations (static and dynamic)

✅ Strong problem-solving skills — able to troubleshoot on the fly and think on your feet

✅ Hands-on mechanical aptitude — comfortable in the workshop as well as behind a screen

✅ Fluent in English

✅ Must live in Sweden with the ability to commute to our office daily, and hold a valid work permit

Extra credit:

✨ Experience designing and running experiments/tests — knowing what methods and test protocols to apply (DOE, instrumentation, data analysis)

✨ Knowledge of sound/acoustics theory

What the role looks like:

You'll take prototype machines from concept and design through to production readiness — designing, simulating, prototyping, and refining until it's production-ready. This means you'll need to be equally comfortable at a CAD workstation, working with production teams, and on the shop floor solving a problem hands-on.
