For this role, we are looking for a passionate Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong interest in developing high-performance chassis systems for the world's most demanding hypercars. You will take technical ownership of components and systems within steering, suspension, brakes, or structures, from concept through prototyping, testing, and production.
Working closely with Vehicle Dynamics, Simulation, Testing, and other cross-functional teams, you will translate vehicle-level targets into robust, validated, and manufacturable designs while driving continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Opportunities are available for professionals with more than 5 years of industry experience.
Responsibilities
Take technical and delivery ownership of components or complete systems within steering, suspension, brake systems or structures
Define system requirements, targets and validation criteria
Organize and carry out component, subsystem and vehicle tests to verify function, performance and requirements
Analyze simulation and test results, investigate failures and implement technically robust corrective actions
Generate 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings using CATIA V6 / 3DExperience
Give technical support leading to successful introduction of products into production
Support product release into production (PLM)
Work closely with Vehicle Dynamics, Simulation, Electrical, Procurement, Prototype, Production, Quality and Aftermarket departments
Interact with suppliers and technology providers
Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of R&D experience in development and prototyping within the automotive, aerospace, racing, or motorsport industry
Strong specialist knowledge in steering, suspension, brake systems, vehicle dynamics, or structures
Advanced CAD capabilities, including solid modelling, surface design, assembly, and drafting
Experience working with PLM systems and change-management processes
Knowledge of FEM analysis, GD&T, and technical requirements
Experience taking components or systems from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release
Knowledge of materials, surface and heat treatments, corrosion protection, and modern manufacturing methods
Professional proficiency in English
Meritorious experience
Design experience with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE
Complete technical ownership of a steering, suspension or brake system
Experience with Multi Body Dynamics and vehicle kinematic analysis tools (ADAMS, MotionView or similar)
Knowledge of EPS controls, diagnostics or steering calibration
Knowledge of ABS, ESC, integrated brake systems or brake-system calibration
Experience with vehicle testing, instrumentation and data analysis
Metrology, component inspection and measurement protocols
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, so don't wait to apply. We look forward to receiving your application!
