As Lead Category Purchaser within Automation at Atlas Copco Industrial Technique, you will play a key role in optimizing supplier value and shaping global sourcing strategies across a dynamic and evolving category.
Your role
As a Lead Category Purchaser, you are responsible for the performance of your category in terms of Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability, and Technology (QDCST). You will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, build strong supplier partnerships, and contribute to long-term business success.
You will work in a global context, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders, while actively contributing to our sourcing community and knowledge-sharing culture.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will support a sustainable profitable growth in the automation solutions business. In collaboration with Automation Excellence Centers / Application Centers, you will identify consolidation and re negotiation opportunities. You will own global contracts shared between several automation entities (AEC/APC).
In addition you will build up a network of local Purchasers for opportunity identification but also to share best practice and find a new level of sourcing operations.
The role is new and you will be able to develop it as you go along.
You report to Global Category Manager.

Experience within automation, electronics, or industrial environments is considered an advantage.
