Lead Business Analyst MDM

Are you an experienced Business Analyst who can bring structure to complex data and business challenges? Cognizant is looking for a Lead Business Analyst to lead business discovery for a strategically important Party Master Data Management initiative within financial services. You will work closely with business areas, group functions, data specialists, architects, and governance stakeholders to translate enterprise needs into validated requirements and practical target processes.

What you will do

• Plan, lead, and facilitate discovery workshops across business areas and group functions.
• Translate business objectives and stakeholder needs into clear requirements, use cases, business rules, and target processes.
• Define ownership, decision rights, and governance requirements for Party and Customer master data.
• Assess current processes, identify gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities, and help shape the future-state operating model.
• Drive prioritisation, requirements traceability, validation, and formal stakeholder sign-off.
• Produce clear, decision-ready documentation and ensure alignment between business, data, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Support roadmap development, implementation planning, and business-case inputs.

What you bring

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within complex enterprise transformation programs.
• Strong experience with Party or Customer Master Data Management, customer-data initiatives, or related data-governance programs.
• Solid banking or broader financial-services experience, including work in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, manage senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and build consensus across functions.
• Excellent requirements, process-modelling, traceability, and documentation skills.
• A structured and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
• Availability to work on-site in Stockholm as required.
