Junior Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineers contribute to the software used in our products while working closely with more experienced engineers, interaction designers, system engineers, and other software development teams. They develop their skills in embedded and real-time systems, learning how to create reliable, efficient, and secure software for connected devices. Junior engineers gain experience across different software layers and technologies such as Linux, wireless communication, power management, and device security.

Key Deliverable

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of embedded software for Control Units (CU), Linux-based input devices, and battery-operated peripherals as part of new and existing product development.

Core Tasks

• Develop and maintain software components for Linux and real-time operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Implement software features and bug fixes based on product and system requirements.
• Support the design and implementation of interfaces between software components within a device.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Learn and apply best practices for software quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute to optimizing power consumption and system responsiveness where appropriate.
• Follow secure development practices and support the implementation of security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product needs and system architectures.
• Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge in embedded systems, tools, and development methodologies.
