Assignment Description

An international organization is seeking an iOS Engineer specializing in the application layer, user interface, and the interaction between client applications and background services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting elegant user experiences while maintaining a strong understanding of how underlying systems interact.

The assignment is a consulting engagement where you will be employed byZcelero ABand work on-site with one of Zcelero's clients in Malmö.

You will work on building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces and ensuring seamless interaction between the UI layer and underlying services. The role requires a strong focus on clean architecture, maintainable code, and performance, while contributing to a consistent and engaging user experience.

You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders, contributing to both technical decisions and the evolution of the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain user-facing features and application layer components within iOS

Design and implement clean, scalable, and maintainable UI architectures

Ensure smooth interaction between UI components and underlying services

Work with asynchronous flows and state management in modern iOS applications

Maintain high standards of code quality, testability, and performance

Collaborate with designers and developers to deliver high-quality user experiences

Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and codebase

Requirements (Must-have)

• Several years of experience in iOS development (SwiftUI, UIKit, Objective-C, or Swift)
• Strong understanding of iOS architecture, data flow, and component structure
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Good understanding of algorithms and fundamental software development concepts
• Basic understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• A strong interest in user experience and modern application development within mobile platforms

Nice to Have

• Experience with SwiftUI and modern UI patterns (e.g. MVVM, Combine)
• Knowledge of animation, accessibility, and performance optimization
• Understanding of interaction between UI and background processes
• Experience with build and test automation (CI/CD, Xcode Cloud)
