About us:

Stegra is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning - our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what's next in store for us.

Information Security Intern

Are you curious about cybersecurity, secure applications, and the rapidly evolving world of AI? We're looking for a motivated student who wants to learn, experiment, and build hands-on experience in information security at Stegra.

Duration: 6-12 months, part-time (50%)

Location: our office in Stockholm
Key responsibilities
As part of the internship, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Help develop and improve our application security and secure development practices.
• Collaborate with teams across our Digital department to embed security into the way we work.
• Turn security requirements into practical improvements for our applications.
• Get hands-on with AI security, including securing AI/ML pipelines, models, and applications.
• Take part in application risk assessments and help identify ways to reduce security risks.
• Contribute to the development of an internal security and compliance tool.
• Help create and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Review existing processes, explore what could work better, and contribute your own ideas for improvement.

You won't be expected to know all of this from day one - the internship is about learning, contributing, and building practical experience along the way.
Your background

• You are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, and have some programming experience.
• Previous internships, student projects, hackathons, courses, or extracurricular activities related to cybersecurity are a plus, but not a requirement.

• An interest in application security, secure development, and cybersecurity.
• Some familiarity with security concepts such as threat modeling.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging security challenges.
