We are looking for an HR Business Partner - Integration & Change Management at ABB Oy, Distribution Solutions Division.

In this role, you will develop and implement people strategy through the execution of HR processes and drive organizational change during company integration, ensuring effective and sustainable workplace relations. This role combines HRBP responsibilities with strategic change management leadership for the successful integration of an acquired company and subsequent ongoing HR partnership.

ABB acquired Netcontrol in May 2026 and warmly welcomed their over 100 employees. Netcontrol is a provider of electrical grid automation solutions for power utilities and critical infrastructure operators. This acquisition enhances ABB's grid automation offerings for utilities facing rising need to digitalize the electrical power grid.

The preferred location is Helsinki, Finland, because Netcontrol's headquarters is there. Other possible locations are Vaasa, Finland or Västerås, Sweden. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role reports to Finland HR Business Partner, Distribution Solutions Division, and functionally to Product Line Netcontrol Manager, within Business Line Grid Components.

Your role and responsibilities

Integration & Change Management


  • Leading and coordinating the change management strategy during the acquisition integration process, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum employee engagement.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged throughout all phases of integration.
  • Identifying key stakeholders, change champions, and resistance points. Developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth transition.
  • Driving cultural integration initiatives to align the acquired company's workforce with ABB values, safety standards, and integrity principles.
  • Managing organizational design and role alignment to ensure effective staffing and capability across merged entities.
  • Facilitating change management initiatives and driving behavior change & continuous improvement.

People Strategy & HR Delivery: Contributing to business and people strategy by delivering value-added HR support. Defining and executing HR priorities across the employee lifecycle, while ensuring compliance with legal and ABB standards and promoting inclusion.

Communication, Engagement & Collaboration: Driving these across the integrated organization. Acting as HR partner to leadership. Developing talent and supporting managers to build a high-performing, unified team. Coaching managers through change.

You will be mainly accountable for these key integration deliverables:

  • Comprehensive integration plan addressing people, culture, and organization to enable growth
  • Change management and communication strategy with defined timelines and ownership
  • Integration success metrics dashboard and regular progress reporting
  • HR policy harmonization and compliance documentation
  • Culture alignment and employee engagement programs
  • People retention and key person continuity plans
  • Post-integration HRBP transition plan with clear handover documentation

Qualifications for the role

  • Proven experience in HR management, talent, and organization development ideally in an international or matrix environment.
  • Proven ability to build lasting partnerships on all levels of the organization: motivating, challenging and coaching people while creating an atmosphere of collaboration
  • Proven experience in mobilizing diverse employee groups for change management, transformation, on integration initiatives
  • Structured, pragmatic problem-solver balancing business and people needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Finnish and English. In addition, fluent Swedish skills would be a strong advantage. Willingness to travel (up to max 15%), mainly between Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia and the UK, and flexible to meet the regular (virtual) meeting time (often based on Central European Time).
  • Good knowledge of Finnish and Swedish labour law and its practical application in an HR business partnering context.

It offers sustainable high-tech components for connection, control, and protection, and provides innovative grid edge solutions for safe automation.
