Head of Systems Engineering - with a focus on ILS/IPS and system safety

We are now looking for a Head of Systems Engineeringwith a focus on ILS/IPS and system safety for our business area Engineering Solutions Sweden. This is a key role for someone who wants to combine business responsibility, leadership and deep technical expertise with the opportunity to build a competence area of major strategic importance for Etteplan's future.

The role can preferably be based in Lund, Karlstad/Karlskoga/Örebroor Linköping/Jönköping. You will report to the VP Engineering Solutions Sweden and lead a growing organization of Team/Department Managers.

You are a senior leader motivated by building, developing and creating growth - combining strategy with operational execution while building trust both internally and with customers.

The market is developing rapidly: the defence and security sector, as well as dual-use and industrial segments, are investing heavily in complex systems and lifecycle perspectives. ILS/IPS and system safety are now essential to winning and delivering larger programmes.

In this role, you will turn Etteplan's strong foundation into a clear and scalable capability in Sweden - with the potential to take on broader, international responsibility within the Group over time.

About the role

As Head of Systems Engineering, you will have overall responsibility for building and developing Etteplan's offering within ILS/IPS and system safety in Sweden.

You will have full P&L responsibility from day one and drive both business and delivery. Initially, you will work close to the organization and customers, gradually shifting focus toward organizational growth, leadership and business development.

You will lead a growing organization of both specialists and managers, with the goal of building an own team of approximately 25-50 people within three years and, over time, establishing a competence area of more than 100 people in Sweden.

You will also own the market offering - and be a central profile in customer dialogues. Your ability to build trust, articulate value and win business will be crucial to growth.

To succeed in this role, you need to have

• Experience within ILS/IPS, Systems Engineering or similar areas
• A background from organizations with high requirements for safety, reliability and lifecycle perspectives
• Experience of leadership and business responsibility (P&L)
• A strong ability to build relationships and drive business
• Fluency in Swedish and English

Experience of system safety (e.g. DEF STAN, ARP4761, MIL-STD-882), as well as a background or network within the defence and security industry, is considered an advantage.
