ABOUT AARKE

Aarke is a Stockholm-based design and engineering company. We make small domestic kitchen appliances and the consumables that go with them. Built to be used every day. Kept for years. Our products reach customers across Europe, the UK, North America and a growing number of markets beyond, through retail, Amazon and our own online store.

We call it Everyday Engineering. It applies to how we run operations too.

THE ROLE

You own the physical flow of every unit we sell. From the supplier's dock to the customer's home, and back again when it needs to be. Transport, warehousing, 3PL performance, stock deployment across the network, and reverse logistics and service.

You also own where the network goes next. It works today. It will need to keep changing as we grow: new markets, new partners, stock closer to demand, cost taken out year on year. Steering that change without breaking what works is the job.

This is a high-pace role with direct P&L impact. You own the logistics budget, and the mandate is to improve it: lower cost per unit, better service, a network that scales. You operate autonomously and decide fast. You work closely with Sales, Finance and Supply to find cost-efficient, scalable ways of operating, and you are expected to find them without waiting to be asked.

We are not an enterprise. We are a growth company. There is no large team to delegate to and no playbook waiting on a shelf. We are looking for someone who knows what great logistics looks like and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and make it happen here. In three years the network should be cheaper, faster and more resilient than it is today, and you will have made it so.

You report to the COO and lead a team of five.

WHAT YOU OWN

• Network development. Where we hold stock, which partners we use and how goods move between them. Moving inventory closer to demand in Europe to take out cost and lead time. New 3PLs in expansion markets. Exiting set-ups that no longer fit. We operate well beyond our largest markets, and this role is key to making them scale.
• Service quality. On time, complete, undamaged, in every market. You raise the standard with our carriers and 3PLs, hold them to it, and change partners when they cannot meet it.
• Cost. Inbound freight from Asia through to last-mile delivery. Mode, carrier, tendering, customs, warehousing rates. You take cost per unit down every year without giving service back.
• Resilience. Freight rates, tariffs, capacity and disruption will move. You build a network that keeps delivering when they do, and you have the plan before they do.
• Stock deployment. Where inventory sits across warehouses, Amazon FBA and consignment, and the node-level policy behind it, aligned with Supply through S&OP.
• Reverse logistics and service. Returns, repair, refurbishment, reintegration. One lifecycle, yours end to end.
• The KPI framework. Total logistics cost per unit by channel, on-time, stock accuracy, return rate. Numbers that tell the truth and drive decisions.
• Your team. Transport, logistics for Europe and North America, coordination, and reverse logistics and service. You set direction, develop people and hold the standard.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have led logistics in an omni-channel consumer goods business with a multi-market 3PL network. You know that supplying DTC and B2B are different jobs, and you have done both.
• You can dig into the smallest detail on a Monday and plan on a three-year horizon on a Tuesday. Both are the job.
• You are data-driven. You build the KPI framework, and you build your own view before asking for one.
• You are tech-savvy and automation-first. Manual work is a problem to solve, not a process to staff.
• You know when to be agile and when to be robust, and you can tell the difference under pressure.
• You have run logistics through disruption. You know which risks to hedge, which to absorb, and what resilience is worth paying for.
• You act without needing direction.
• You are a team player who knows when to step back and coach, and when to manage.
• You have structure. Global logistics project management experience is highly valued.
• You are fluent in English. Everything else is a plus.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Total logistics cost per unit sold falls year on year in every channel, even as our mix shifts toward online. The network runs to contract, measured on one scorecard. Stock sits where it should. The return flow has clear unit economics. Your team works to a cadence the rest of the company can plan around. And the COO spends less time on logistics than before you arrived.
