Global Business Line Manager - Mining & Materials

As Global Sales Manager for Business Line Mining & Materials, you will lead the global sales function and serve as a member of the Business Line Management Team. You will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy across all BL Mining & Materials businesses, driving profitable growth, strategic account development, market expansion and commercial excellence worldwide. Working closely with business unit leaders, cluster managers and country sales organizations, you will shape ABB's commercial success in the mining, cement and battery materials industries.
This role reports to Bjorn Jonsson, Business Line Manager, Mining & Materials.
Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the global sales organization of Business Line Mining & Materials, leading the commercial agenda across all regions and business units. You will develop and execute the global sales strategy, build and coach an international sales leadership team, and ensure alignment between business priorities, customer needs and growth opportunities. As a member of the BL Management Team, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and long-term success of the business.

- Leading the global BL Mining & Materials sales function and driving performance, capability development and engagement across the organization.
- Driving the overall commercial strategy and achieving targets for orders, revenue, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction.
- Building executive-level relationships with strategic customers, EPCs and industry partners while overseeing major commercial opportunities and negotiations.
- Partnering with Business Unit Managers, Cluster Managers and Functional Leaders to maximize growth opportunities across the global portfolio.

You will be mainly accountable for
- Anticipating and identifying the shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial actions, proactively.
- Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocates required resources.
- Planning and executing customer surveys and acts on the survey results to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
- Participating in the negotiation of key contracts.
Qualifications for the Role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Significant experience in global sales leadership, business development or commercial management within mining, process industries, automation, electrification or related sectors.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies across international markets.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading global and culturally diverse teams.
- Excellent commercial acumen including strategic account management, negotiations and business planning.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior customer and business leaders.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
