Join our team
You will join a global sourcing team within Epiroc’s Attachments Division Supply Chain organization, supporting the HAT Business Line. The team consists of experienced sourcing and category professionals working across different European locations and in close collaboration with engineering, operations, and other key stakeholders.
The team operates in an international and complex environment, managing business‑critical categories with a strong focus on long‑term value creation, supplier performance, and supply continuity. Collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement are central to the way the team works, and you will have the opportunity to influence global sourcing strategies while working closely with colleagues across functions and countries.

Your Mission
As a Global Category Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for strategic and tactical sourcing within key categories, primarily steel castings, forgings, and related hydraulics components. You will play a central role in shaping global category strategies that support business objectives, ensure supply continuity, and drive long‑term value creation.
In this role, you will manage and develop a global supplier base, leading supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management while continuously improving performance across cost, quality, delivery, risk, and sustainability. You will actively drive cost and value initiatives such as design‑to‑cost, value engineering, localization, and total cost of ownership optimization, supported by market intelligence, spend analysis, and risk assessments.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and other key stakeholders in a global, cross‑functional environment. Through early supplier involvement, you will support product development and industrialization by providing technical input on materials and manufacturing processes and by enabling robust, competitive sourcing solutions.
Your mission also includes:
- Developing and executing global category strategies aligned with business and supply chain priorities
- Ensuring resilient, compliant, and sustainable sourcing solutions across international markets
- Contributing to continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of working and driving measurable results
Your Profile
You are a confident and experienced sourcing professional who is comfortable taking ownership, challenging viewpoints, and working in complex, international environments. You thrive in global roleswhere not everything is predefined and where continuous improvement is part of everyday work.
We believe you bring:
- A degree in Engineering, Metallurgy,Supply Chain,or equivalent relevant experience
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing or category management within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Strong technical understanding ofsteelcastings, forgings, hydraulics and related manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to lead supplier negotiations and drive measurable cost and value improvements
- Fluency both in English and French is required
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels
Location and Other
This position is flexible within Europe, with a preference for proximity to an Epiroc site to support collaboration and team integration. Potential locations include, but are not limited to, the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Spain or Serbia.
The role includes regular international travel (approximately up to 50%), depending on business needs. We offer a hybrid workplace - a way of working that provides flexibility and promotes a healthier balance between professional and personal life.
