Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical System Architect for our client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced electrical and electronic architectures supporting next-generation hybrid and fully electric powertrain systems.

As part of a high-performing Electronics & Software division, the selected candidate will play a key role in designing scalable, high-performance, and safety-compliant system architectures. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and active participation across the full product lifecycle-from concept definition to industrialization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and evolution of electrical and electronic system architectures for hybrid and electric powertrain applications

Translate business and customer needs into structured system requirements tailored to product development

Ensure seamless integration and scalability across subsystems, ECUs, and electrical components

Work closely with hardware developers and ECU owners to align component-level design with overall system architecture

Guarantee compliance with automotive standards related to functional safety, cybersecurity, and performance (including ISO 26262)

Address complex engineering challenges such as communication network design, EMC considerations, and system topology optimization

Drive the transition of electrical systems from concept stage to production-ready solutions

Act as the primary technical authority for electrical architecture in discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Skills Required

Strong expertise in electrical and electronic system design within the automotive domain

In-depth knowledge of ECU architecture, communication protocols, and system integration

Hands-on experience with power electronics, inverters, and hybrid/electric drivetrains

Solid understanding of EMC, load balancing, and signal behavior in complex systems

Familiarity with PCB design and automotive electrical systems engineering

Proficiency in industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity frameworks

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Experience Required

Senior-level experience in automotive electrical system architecture design

Proven ability to deliver complex system solutions across hardware and software domains

Prior experience working with major automotive organizations (e.g., Volvo Group or Geely Group) is considered an advantage
