About the role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will take on a specialist position within electrical power engineering, working to develop, assure, and improve electrical systems in a complex refinery environment.
The role includes responsibility for advancing technical solutions, ways of working, and methodologies within the electrical domain, with a clear focus on electrical safety and operational availability. You will operate at the interface between operations, maintenance, and projects, contributing both operationally and strategically to matters critical to the facility's performance and long-term development.

Your background
We are looking for a university graduate in electrical power engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, who has developed solid experience working with industrial electrical systems in continuous operations.
You have likely worked in process industries such as refining, petrochemicals, energy production, combined heat and power, or other capital-intensive industries where high technical availability, robust electrical safety, and regulatory compliance are business-critical.
You bring a broad and in-depth technical understanding of electrical systems from an operations, maintenance, and lifecycle perspective, and are comfortable working in environments where failures in power supply, distribution systems, or critical electrical components have immediate impact on production, safety, asset integrity, and cost.

Key responsibilities
- Develop methods and technical solutions within the electrical discipline to ensure high levels of electrical safety and system availability
- Establish and continuously improve ways of working and technical principles impacting refinery operations and maintenance
- Monitor developments within electrical power engineering and contribute to long-term business and operational development through sound technical decisions
- Act as a technical expert in investment projects and contribute to technical investigations
- Drive method development initiatives with a focus on high reliability and availability of electrical systems
- Support the maintenance organization in complex electrical engineering topics and advanced troubleshooting
- Ensure that electrical installations are designed, constructed, and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements
- Contribute to strengthening electrical safety competence through knowledge sharing and training initiatives

We believe you have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Several years of relevant experience from process industry, offshore, or similar industrial environments with high requirements on reliability, availability, and safety
- Experience working with industrial high-voltage and low-voltage systems in operationally critical environments
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, backup power systems, UPS, and MicroScada-system
- Experience in analyzing operational disturbances, conducting technical investigations, and implementing measures to improve reliability and system performance
- Experience within operations and maintenance of electrical systems, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, preventive actions, and continuous improvement
- Experience contributing to or leading technical investment projects such as upgrades, reinvestments, capacity expansions, or replacement of critical electrical equipment
- A solid understanding of how electrical system design and condition impact production stability, personnel safety, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle cost
- Knowledge of control and monitoring interfaces such as PLC, MicroSCADA, motor control systems, and industrial communication solutions
- Experience with electrical design and calculation tools such as EL-VIS or Febdok is considered an advantage
- Experience working with maintenance systems, technical documentation, and CAD environments
- Good understanding of and experience working in accordance with electrical safety regulations, applicable standards, and internal technical frameworks
