About the Role

You will help develop media routing solutions for the cab in a complex automotive environment, with focus on steering wheel, steering column and lower storage. The work combines detailed engineering with close collaboration across functions, where routing quality, manufacturability and change handling all need to work together in practice.

In this role, you will work with cable harnesses and air pipes, making sure routing solutions are robust, aligned with specifications and ready for production. You will be part of an agile project setup with PI planning and sprint-based follow-up, and you will collaborate closely with design, production, system owners and suppliers. Job DescriptionYou will verify media routing and optimize cable lengths to reduce unnecessary variants while avoiding scrap, excessive cable length and wear-related issues.

You will participate in design reviews and help drive practical, well-balanced routing solutions together with cross-functional stakeholders.

You will update and review drawings, prepare introductions linked to ECO, raise ECOs, create drawings, create MR and support part ordering.

You will perform measurements and verify that routing solutions follow specification and function as intended.

You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to secure alignment, regulatory compliance and production readiness.

You will support production during test assembly, follow up the outcome and drive corrections, improvements and change requests when needed.

You will handle ongoing changes affecting media routing together with responsible component designers and help internal stakeholders find good solutions when routing is impacted.

You will act as a strong engineering voice for cable harness matters and help system owners make informed decisions.

RequirementsRelevant degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience from large rollouts or project implementations.

Experience working in fast-moving environments.

Experience with ECO handling.

Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Good English and Swedish communication skills.

Ability to pass a background check.

Nice to haveExperience working closely with production and cable routing.

Experience participating in design reviews.

Experience updating and reviewing drawings.

Experience creating MR and ordering parts.

Experience performing measurements and verifying routing against specification.

Knowledge of PI planning or other agile ways of working.
