At Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM), we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Language Acquisition (ELA) Teacher to join our Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), starting in January 2027.

If you are a dedicated teacher who enjoys supporting students in developing their English language skills, building positive relationships and working in an international environment, we would love to hear from you.

About Bladins International School of Malmö

Bladins International School of Malmö (BISM) is an IB Continuum School located in central Malmö. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) to approximately 370 students representing a wide range of nationalities and cultures. We are proud to be part of a global network of IB World Schools.

As part of Bladins Foundation, a non-profit educational organisation with a long tradition of academic excellence, we are committed to providing a supportive, internationally minded learning environment where students are encouraged to become knowledgeable, caring and responsible global citizens.

The Role

As an ELA Teacher across our PYP and MYP, you will plan, teach and assess English language acquisition, supporting students with varying levels of English proficiency in developing the language skills needed to participate fully in their learning and school community.

You will work closely with classroom teachers, subject teachers and other colleagues across the school to provide engaging, inclusive and high-quality language learning experiences for our students.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated English language acquisition lessons for students in PYP and MYP
  • Assessing students' English language proficiency, monitoring progress and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs
  • Supporting students in developing their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Providing targeted language support to students with different linguistic backgrounds and levels of English proficiency
  • Collaborating with classroom and subject teachers to support language development across the curriculum
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment that values multilingualism and cultural diversity
  • Building positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues and families
  • Contributing actively to the wider school community and school development

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a qualified and committed teacher who is passionate about language acquisition, inclusive education and student development.

You are:

  • Experienced in teaching English language learners with varying levels of language proficiency
  • Skilled at planning differentiated instruction and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
  • Passionate about creating engaging and meaningful language learning experiences
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with students
  • Collaborative and comfortable working as part of an international team
  • Committed to inclusive education and supporting multilingual learners
  • Organised, flexible and able to take responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment
  • Committed to continuous professional growth

Previous experience of teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB), particularly the PYP and/or MYP, is an advantage. Experience of supporting English language acquisition across different age groups is also highly valued.

Since English is the working language of the school, you must be able to communicate professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.

Why Join BISM?

We offer:
