Oresund DryDocks AB needs to extend our organisation with:

Dock operators for our Dock & Transport department

The Dock & Transport Department is responsible, among other things, for receiving vessels in dock or at quay, Each vessel is handled as a project which will be led by a project manager and its project team. The tempo is high, and the timeframe is short 7-10 days per vessel. During these days many ad-hoc activities needs to be handled by our staff, so we all need to be problem solvers.

The expectations from our customers and our own organization regarding docking, transport, lifting and waste management is that the tasks are performed in a good way. Currently are 4 supervisors and 9 operators working at the department. It is the task of the supervisors to plan what resources are required in your department for each project. As a dock operator, you perform the tasks assigned. An important task is to participate during planning and execution of docking and undocking of vessels in our docks.

Competence

You have worked with similar tasks on a repair shipyard

Knowledge of ship movement operations and activities

Understanding of docking plans and executing block setting according to plan

Knowledge of the ordinances, policies and procedures affecting mooring operations

Good knowledge English, both speaking and writing.

Drivers License for passenger car

In order to be successful in your work you are stimulated by finding solutions to problems and you put the customer in the center. We see that you can handle physical work and are not afraid to step in when necessary. New things happen every day. You find it easy to collaborate and work in teams but you need to be able to perform duties without assistance. We are an international workplace so you need to understand and speak English. We often work at inconvenient times so you need to be flexible for this.
