Store Operations Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Retail Manager, the Store Operations Manager Nordics is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and operational excellence of Dyson's direct retail portfolio. Currently overseeing a Shop-in-Shop location and a Demo Store concept, you will ensure stores operate efficiently, deliver strong commercial results, and consistently provide an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hands-on retail management role requiring strong operational discipline, commercial awareness and an ability to lead teams through both everyday retail execution and fast-paced operational challenges.

Working closely with the Direct Retail Manager and Retail Operations Manager, you will help drive consistent retail standards, execute strategic priorities, and develop a high-performing retail culture across the Nordic market.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Performance & Execution

• Drive sales performance across all retail locations by delivering strong execution of Dyson's retail strategy.
• Monitor and analyze key retail KPIs including sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, mystery shop, productivity, and customer experience metrics.
• Identify performance opportunities and implement action plans to improve results.
• Ensure successful execution of product launches, promotions, demonstrations, campaigns, and seasonal trading activities.

Store Operations Excellence

• Ensure all retail locations operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Dyson standards and policies.
• Own retail operational processes including inventory management, stock accuracy, cycle counts, stock transfers, cash handling, payroll submissions, and compliance routines.
• Investigate stock issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational incidents while implementing corrective actions.
• Partner closely with the Retail Operations Manager to drive operational consistency and continuous improvement.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and support retail team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching conversations, and development planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees.

Operational Problem Solving

• Act as the first point of escalation for retail operational issues across Nordic direct retail locations.
• Manage and resolve challenges relating to staffing, inventory, systems, customer experience, facilities, and store operations.
• Coordinate with internal support functions to ensure timely resolution of operational challenges.

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong working relationships with internal functions including Retail Operations, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Training, Trade Marketing, and Customer Service.
• Provide regular performance updates and operational insights to retail leadership.
• Support implementation of regional retail initiatives and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with the Benelux retail team to share learnings and drive consistency across markets.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5+ years of retail leadership or multi-site retail management experience.
• Strong operational management skills with experience running retail environments.
• Proven ability to drive sales results through effective retail execution.
• Experience coaching and developing retail teams.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Fluent in English and at least one Nordic language.
