Role Summary
Defence Cab Development ESDC, under Scania BID Special vehicles, is looking for a development engineer to work in our S-order projects, from understanding the user demands to ideas to the final customer unique product.
You will have technical design lead for systems and parts in the cab, make layout investigations, suggest solutions and coordinate and coach a development team. Concept generating and leading the work to the final product are your most important responsibilities.
In this role you get the opportunity to contribute to something larger and your work will have a meaningful impact beyond the organization.

Job Responsibilities
In this role you will...
- Take part in both shorter customer projects and larger development projects.
- Interpret customer specifications to ideas and create concepts.
- If needed assist in detail design, mainly in steel and plastics.
- Plan and participate in testing the design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with our Group R&D functions (Traton) and other stake holders.
- Contribute with ideas to our technical road map.
- Monitor our competition and meet Defence customers to understand how they use our vehicles and what demands they have.
Who You Are

We believe you have:
- A MSc/BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- + 4 years years of experience as a mechanical design engineer with experience in CATIA (or similar) and SimSolid /LS-Dyna.
- An experience in Cab Development.
- High competence in design of parts in sheet metal.
- Experience of creating concepts that have been industrialized.
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and writing.
