Design Lead

Our clients are some of the world's biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden's largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.

As a Design Lead within the Top Hat & Exterior team at Einride, you will be a part of the team responsible for the mechanical and electrical (EDS) design of our autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with your Program Manager to drive the team's deliveries forward. You will act as a key bridge, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as procurement and production, and external suppliers to ensure that timelines and commitments are met.

You will be

• Driving and coordinating technical deliveries within mechanics and EDS, with a primary focus on the mechanical area.
• Following up on the team's work and ensuring quality, progress, and alignment across engineering tasks.
• Coordinating and following up on deliveries from external suppliers and partners, working closely with procurement.
• Owning project timelines, ensuring that technical designs and production orders are delivered on time.
• Bringing structure, clarity, and scalability into a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

We expect that you

• Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
• Are a senior automotive engineer with distinct experience leading technical assignments (e.g., as GDL, Design Lead, or Team Lead).
• Are a structured, agile, and communicative coordinator, highly accustomed to supplier management and handling parallel deliveries.
• Communicate fluently in English.

Nice to have

• Proven experience of building and implementing workflows and processes to develop an organization.
• Managing complex hardware projects involving both mechanical as well as electrical design.
