Your role

We are now seeking a passionate Databricks Expert/Champion or someone to growing into that space to join us. In this role, you will play an important role in shaping and contributing to Capgemini's data, analytics & AI strategy forward using the Databricks platform. You will work hands-on with the latest tools in data ingestion, ETL, orchestration, and machine learning, while also contributing to solution design, architecture, and customer engagement. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, strategy, and communication.

As part of our team, you'll help strengthen this partnership and guide organizations in unlocking the full potential of the Databricks platform.

In this role you will play a key part in:

• Design and implement high-performance data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark
• Build and maintain secure data lakehouses and data warehouses in Azure
• Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines using Databricks ML and Azure ML
• Lead or contributing to solutioning and architecture efforts - from whiteboard to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and DevOps engineers
• Participate in presales, technical workshops, and customer presentations

Your profileWe see this role being a great fit for someone with experience as a data engineer or architect with a passion for building scalable, high-impact data solutions. You combine deep technical skills with strong communication and solutioning capabilities.

You have:

• Proven experience designing and implementing data platforms using Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL and Python
• Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure ML
• A solid understanding of data architecture, including lakehouse design, data modeling and governance
• Experience working in presales, technical workshops and customer-facing presentations
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Databricks Champion - or on your way there We are looking for someone who is either:

• An official Databricks Champion, recognized for their technical excellence and community contributions, or
• A high-level Databricks expert with the ambition and potential to become a Champion. With Capgemini's support, network, and close partnership with Databricks, we'll help you take that next step.
