Your mission
As an Automation & Test Engineer, you will develop, commission, and maintain automation solutions and test environments for hardware and software products.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Developing and maintaining PLC programs for control systems and test rigs
- Designing and building HMI/SCADA solutions for monitoring and control
- Building, executing, and maintaining automated test systems using LabVIEW and/or TestStand
- Troubleshooting and commissioning automation and electrical systems
- Supporting integration of test solutions with production, test rigs, and HIL environments
- Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, software, and system engineering teams
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, test specifications, and validation reports
- Supporting continuous improvements in quality, reliability, and testing processes

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent vocational/technical education
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with PLC programming using platforms such as TIA Portal, Codesys, Beckhoff, or similar
- Experience designing and developing HMI/SCADA solutions
- Practical experience building, maintaining, or executing automated test systems using LabVIEW and/or TestStand
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language used in automation or test environments, such as Python, C, or C#
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and commissioning
- Experience working with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, OPC UA, Modbus, or MQTT
- Professional fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken
It is considered a plus if you also have experience with:
- Digital twin or emulation tools, such as Visual Components or Node-RED
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments and tools such as CANoe, CarMaker, VeriStand, or TPT
- Regulatory and quality standards such as IEC 62304 or IEC/EN 60601-1
- Version control and CI/CD practices
- Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and an interest in following developments within AI and automation
