We're looking for an AI/Data Science Consultant to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden, in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will partner with a leading automotive client on their multi-year AI transformation journey. You will design, deploy and optimize AI-driven solutions, helping the client unlock new opportunities and navigate the evolving AI landscape. This position offers the opportunity to play a visible role in collaboration with EPAM's European Data Practice, delivering cutting-edge Generative AI (Gen AI) and advanced data science solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in AI, Gen AI, machine learning and analytics with consulting experience to drive measurable business value. This role requires at least 3 days per week on the client site in Gothenburg. Responsibilities Design and build Agentic AI solutions ensuring compliance, transparency and auditability Lead the transition of AI/ML models from development to production with robust MLOps practices Monitor and manage model performance, including explainability and fairness Collaborate with client and EPAM teams to communicate AI opportunities, risks and strategies Support pre-sales activities including presentations, demos and RFP/RFI responses Design and implement innovative AI-driven products leveraging Gen AI technologies Lead development and deployment of Gen AI/ML models with focus on scalability and lifecycle management Apply LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to solve industry-specific challenges Ensure AI solutions adhere to responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements Requirements Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field, or equivalent work experience Strong experience in AI, Gen AI, data science and analytics roles Proven ability to design and implement AI solutions with a focus on compliance and operational integrity Deep understanding of LLMs and their application in real-world scenarios Strong knowledge of MLOps principles and experience deploying AI/ML models Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML tools and platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, MLFlow and Airflow Experience in IT consulting with the ability to manage client relationships and deliver strategic guidance Familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act Strong communication skills to translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights for technical and business stakeholders Ability to contribute to the growth of EPAM's Data Practice in the Nordics region Nice to have Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or AI/ML specializations Experience with Gen AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of data governance, ethical AI practices and industry-specific AI applications (e.g., automotive, manufacturing)
