Vineyard Workers and Tractor Operators at Assmåsa Vineyard
Autumn and winter 2026-2027 • Spring and summer 2027
Location: Assmåsa Estate, Skåne, Sweden
We are looking for motivated and reliable vineyard workers and tractor operators for autumn and winter 2026-2027 and the coming spring and summer 2027. Whether you are available for one season or several, please tell us when you can start and how long you can stay.

About Us
Assmåsa Vineyard was founded by the Wikholm family in 2018/2019 and is located in the countryside near Snogeholmssjön, between Sjöbo and Ystad. Together with Flädie Vineyard, acquired in 2020, we are committed to producing high-quality Swedish wines. You will join a small international team and contribute to the work that takes our vines through each season.
About the Role
You will work closely with the vineyard manager and the team on daily vineyard operations. Tasks change with the season, weather and needs of the vines. Most work takes place outdoors, including during the colder months. Previous vineyard experience is an advantage but is not required for vineyard worker roles. Tractor operators should have relevant practical experience and be comfortable handling machinery safely.
Seasonal Responsibilities
Autumn 2026
• Support harvesting where needed, followed by clearing and tidying the vineyard after harvest.
• Help prepare the vineyard for winter, including checking posts, wires and other vineyard infrastructure.
• Clean and organise tools and equipment and assist with general vineyard maintenance.
Winter 2026-2027
• Carry out winter pruning according to instructions and help remove cut vine material.
• Maintain trellises, posts and wires and prepare tools and equipment for spring.
Spring 2027
• Continue pruning where needed and tie down canes ahead of the growing season.
• Assist with shoot thinning, early canopy management and planting or replacing vines where required.
Summer 2027
• Carry out canopy management, shoot positioning, leaf removal and other seasonal vineyard tasks.
• Help maintain the vineyard, monitor vine condition and prepare for the next harvest.
For tractor operator roles
• Operate tractors and vineyard equipment for seasonal field work and maintenance.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, keep machinery clean and report faults or maintenance needs.
Requirements
• Good physical condition and willingness to carry out repetitive manual work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including cold and wet weather.
• Ability to understand instructions and communicate in English; written English is also required.
• A reliable, responsible approach, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with outdoor manual work is an advantage. Relevant machinery experience is expected for tractor operator roles.
• A category B driving licence is an advantage.
Employment Terms
• Seasonal employment with potential extension, depending on vineyard needs and mutual agreement.
• Start date and employment period by agreement. Please specify your availability for autumn, winter, spring and summer.
• Applicants should live within commuting distance or arrange their own accommodation for the employment period.
• Daytime working hours; occasional weekend work may occur during busy periods.
