Where Technology, Hardware, and Structured Knowledge Converge

We are looking for a Technical Writer / Technical Illustrator with a strong interest in hardware-oriented systems and structured technical documentation. At Multiply, you will be part of our Safety & Lifecycle team, where documentation is a critical part of ensuring operational reliability, maintainability, and knowledge transfer across complex systems.

You will also contribute to VisFlow and Multiply Academy, where structured, traceable, and data-driven documentation supports the full system lifecycle-from development to operation and maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and instructions for advanced systems with a strong hardware focus

Structure and manage documentation using XML-based tools and CMS platforms (e.g., UpTime or similar)

Work with and apply S1000D or similar standards for technical publications

Visualize maintenance, service, and repair procedures, including system-level and component-level perspectives

Develop documentation in both English and Swedish

Collaborate closely with system engineers, ILS engineers, developers, and domain experts

Build strong product understanding through hands-on validation and participation in testing activities (hardware and system level)

Contribute to training material, knowledge bases, and customer-facing documentation

Support or deliver technical training sessions internally and towards customers

Required Qualifications

Relevant education in technical documentation, technical illustration, or equivalent experience

Proven experience working as a technical writer or technical illustrator

Strong proficiency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken

Ability to understand and document complex technical systems, primarily hardware with embedded software components

Experience working with structured documentation (XML / CMS environments)

Meriting Experience

Experience with UpTime 4 or similar XML/CMS-based documentation tools

Knowledge of S1000D or other structured documentation standards

Experience documenting hardware systems, defence systems, or safety-critical products

Familiarity with Simplified Technical English (STE)

Experience producing documentation for software-integrated systems

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for technical visualization

Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments

Swedish citizenship (or eligibility for security clearance) is considered an advantage
