Rauland is located in the municipality of Vinje, an area with a long tradition of tourism and hospitality. Rauland town center offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, and services. Our operations are based at Vierli, Tiur, and Holtardalen.
Our employees are our most valuable resource. During the high season, we employ nearly 100 staff members of all ages and from many different countries. We operate year-round, with business activities including skiing, accommodation, housekeeping, and food service. About the Position:
We are looking for Lift Operators for the 2026/2027 winter season. We are recruiting full-time employees.
Throughout the winter, we welcome thousands of enthusiastic skiers to our resort and work hard to ensure they have a great experience. We operate 12 different ski lifts that transport our guests throughout the resort.
As a Lift Operator, you will assist guests in boarding and disembarking from our lifts safely and efficiently. The role includes daily lift inspections, basic maintenance tasks, snow clearing, and the installation and maintenance of safety fencing and signage.
Lift Operators are part of the ski resort's rescue and emergency response team. Applicants should therefore be in good physical condition and comfortable working at heights. Previous experience from other ski resorts is an advantage but not required, as full training will be provided. You should be able to work independently while also being a reliable team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection of ski lifts
- Daily maintenance and reporting
- Assisting guests with boarding and disembarking lifts
- Providing guests with the highest level of service
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language
- Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Category B driving licence
- As Lift Operators are part of the ski resort's rescue and emergency response team, applicants should be physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- Strong customer service skills
- Willing and eager to learn
