You will play a key role in making rugged IT solutions safe, compliant, and ready for use in demanding environments. The assignment focuses on identifying and reducing system-related risks throughout the product lifecycle, with close collaboration across engineering, design, and project teams.

Job DescriptionYou will conduct system safety assessments and risk analyses for products and solutions.
You will identify, analyze, and mitigate hazards in hardware- and software-based systems.
You will help ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
You will produce and maintain documentation such as hazard logs, safety case reports, and safety recommendations.
You will participate in design reviews and guide teams on safety-critical aspects.
You will support internal teams and stakeholders with safety-related knowledge and training.
You will act as an important contact point for safety matters in dialogue with customers and partners.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, and designers.
RequirementsExperience in systems engineering or safety engineering, ideally within the defense or high-tech sector.
Proficiency in identifying and analyzing hazards in hardware and/or software-based systems.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
Comfort working with customers and in cross-functional collaboration.
Experience using Microsoft Office tools for reporting and presentations.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, for example Electrical, Systems, or Safety Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to pass security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship not permitted)
Nice to haveExperience working with safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, IEC 61508, or ISO 26262.
Experience from projects in a defense-related environment.
Knowledge of product development processes for rugged or mission-critical systems.
Additional training or certification in system safety or risk management.
