Assignment Description
We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineer
What You Will Work On
Perform metallurgical investigations and materials analysis
Conduct mechanical testing and laboratory evaluations of metallic materials
Perform microstructural examinations of aluminum, steel, cast iron, and other metals
Analyze casting defects, material failures, and production-related issues
Execute tensile testing, bend testing, and sample preparation activities
Conduct optical microscopy and metallographic investigations
Utilize SEM/EDS analysis techniques for advanced material characterization
Maintain and verify laboratory equipment calibration and functionality
Support engineering and development teams with technical material expertise
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentation materials
Contribute to materials research, testing methodologies, and laboratory development initiatives
Participate in quality improvement and failure prevention activities
Provide recommendations based on laboratory findings and engineering analysis
What You Bring
Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline
Strong knowledge of metallic materials and metallurgical principles
Experience with microstructural analysis of aluminum and steel materials
Experience with mechanical testing methods including tensile and bend testing
Knowledge of casting technologies, casting defects, and failure analysis
Experience with metallographic sample preparation and optical microscopy
Hands-on experience with SEM/EDS analysis techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to independently manage investigations and laboratory activities
Excellent technical reporting and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader engineering perspective
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
