About the Role
You will join a role where regulatory compliance is a core part of successful product development, not something handled at the end. The focus is on electronic hardware products that need to meet international requirements before launch, and your work will help ensure that compliance is built into the design from the start.
You will work close to hardware teams, quality functions, product stakeholders, and external test laboratories to turn regulatory demands into practical technical decisions. The role spans the full product lifecycle, from early concept work to product release and manufacturing readiness, giving you broad influence over both product quality and market access. Job DescriptionYou analyze which regulatory requirements apply to new hardware products based on target markets and product specifications.
You translate certification and compliance requirements into clear design recommendations for development teams.
You act as the main technical contact toward external certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and test laboratories.
You plan, coordinate, and follow up certification and verification activities throughout the development process.
You support hardware projects with expertise in EMC, RED, and electrical safety requirements.
You ensure that technical documentation needed for certification is prepared, updated, and maintained.
You follow changes in international standards and regulations and share relevant updates with internal stakeholders.
You drive certification activities from concept phase through release and manufacturing readiness.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
Proven experience working with regulatory compliance and certification of electronic hardware products.
Solid knowledge of EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), RED (Radio Equipment Directive), and electrical safety regulations and standards.
Hands-on experience collaborating with external test houses, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
Experience supporting hardware development projects throughout the product lifecycle.
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and product teams.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Basic Swedish language skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally when needed.
Nice to haveExperience with Xpedition for schematic and PCB design.
Experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
Knowledge of global product compliance requirements for international markets.
Experience from networking, communication, security, IoT, or embedded hardware products.
Familiarity with product development in manufacturing environments.
