Instead of patching things up afterwards, they embed security by design directly into the agentic workflow, running automated threat modeling and delivering real time, inline fixes straight into modern developer tools.
A recent $5.2 million seed round led by Seed Capital and icebreaker vc, with backing from prominent tech investors from the Neo4j and Google ecosystems, is the direct driver behind expanding the engineering team right now.
The Way They Build
Agentic coding with Claude Code and Cursor is not a weekend experiment here, it is the core of how they ship software. The code is explicitly structured to optimize AI development, producing clear, modular architecture that both humans and AI agents can safely navigate and evolve.
Your Mission & Impact
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will step in at a crucial early stage to design, build, and own the core infrastructure of the AI security platform. The job is to turn complex technical challenges into a scalable automated threat modeling engine, robust backend services, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools that power both the AI agents and the web application.
What you will actually spend your days doing:
Core Engineering: Architect and scale robust backend services and asynchronous workflows primarily in Python.
AI Integration: Design and build MCP tools and internal agent facing functionalities to push the boundaries of agentic coding.
System Optimization: Continuously improve performance, security, and reliability across the entire backend stack.
Lead the AI Workflow: Work actively with Claude Code and Cursor as part of your daily routine. You will guide the AI to generate the first drafts, while you act as the main architect, reviewer, and owner of the production ready codebase.

You are a backend craftsman who thrives in the dynamic environment of an early-stage startup, bringing the autonomy and technical ownership needed to build things from the ground up.
What you bring to the table:
Deep Experience: A solid track record of 10+ years within software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend systems and service oriented architectures.
System Design Mastery: A profound understanding of how to build maintainable, highly reliable, and clean APIs.
The AI First Mindset: Great enthusiasm for agentic development. You look forward to leveraging AI tools to write the first drafts, focusing your brainpower on reviewing, validating, and structuring the overarching architecture.
Clean Coding Practices: A habit of writing software that is highly explicit, modular, and easy for both human colleagues and AI agents to understand and expand upon.
Work Authorization: Full eligibility to work in Sweden.
Bonus points if you have experience with Python frameworks like FastAPI and async services, a background or strong interest in application security (threat modeling/pentesting), or experience with GraphQL and developing developer facing platform tools.
