Are you an experienced SAP Basis professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership and collaboration across global teams? A unique opportunity to shape and develop Billerud's future global SAP landscape in a true greenfield transformation.
As part of our continued SAP development journey, we are looking for a SAP Basis Lead to join our Global SAP Applications team. In this role, you will lead SAP Basis and platform activities and contribute to the development of a future-proof SAP landscape that supports business needs today and in the future.
About the role
As SAP Basis Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading daily SAP Basis and platform activities across our SAP environment. You will work closely with the AMS partner, internal stakeholders, project teams, SAP, and external vendors to ensure stable operations, successful implementations, and continuous improvements.
The role combines technical leadership, SAP platform management, administration, and collaboration across multiple functions, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with both operations and development in a global environment.
Your main tasks will be:
• Lead SAP system installations, upgrades, and patching activities in private cloud environments.
• Manage and optimize a multi-tier SAP landscape, including workload distribution, automation, and batch management.
• Work with and support SAP solutions such as S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Ariba, SAP Cloud ALM, and Signavio.
• Lead and perform SAP Basis administration activities, including monitoring, transport management, client administration, and system refreshes.
• Ensure system performance, sizing, archiving, and overall platform stability.
• Collaborate with internal teams, SAP, and external vendors to support projects and ongoing operations.
• Work closely with network and security teams to ensure compliance and secure SAP operations.
You report to: Manager Global SAP Applications.
While the preferred location for this role is Solna, the position can also be based in one of our mills in Sweden. Frequent travel to our Solna office is an essential part of the role.
Qualifications
• University degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of SAP, particularly SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP RISE.
• Solid experience of SAP implementations
• Strong experience in SAP Basis administration within ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration, SAP system copy and migration tools, monitoring and performance tuning, and cloud-based SAP environments.
• Experience working with SAP BTP administration.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts, including user roles and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Note: You need to have a permanent Swedish work permit in order to be considered for this position.
