The Institute of Clinical Sciences is one of six Institutes within Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. We conduct research and education that puts people's health and quality of life in focus. We represent 16 different research areas and are divided into four sections. Through a fruitful collaboration with the healthcare and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, we have developed joint projects and meeting places that benefits both health care and research.
The position is within the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The researcher will be part of Professor Sundfeldt's research group, which conducts translational research focused on the early detection of gynecological cancer. The aim of the position is to validate novel serum biomarkers.
Duties
The successful candidate will conduct specific analyses on a defined cohort of samples from patients at increased risk of cancer. To conduct these analyses, a dedicated analytical instrument will be installed at the Sahlgrenska Center for Cancer Research (SCCR).
Qualifications
The position requires a PhD in a field relevant to the duties of the position, as well as documented experience in laboratory-based research and the analysis of biological samples. Experience with the analytical methods used in the project is also required
