Beskrivning

Welcome to SSC Space (formerly Swedish Space Corporation), the perfect workplace for those passionate about technology in general and space in particular.

With space organizations, research institutes, institutional and commercial actors as customers, we offer specialist expertise in satellite communications, spacecraft consulting services, rocket and balloon systems, and much more.

SSC Space also has one of the world's largest global networks of ground stations for satellite communications. We own and operate the Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, northern Sweden, with the aim of launching satellites in the near future.

Are you ready to help shape the regulatory foundation for one of Europe's most exciting space initiatives?

If you answer yes to this question, we invite you to seize the opportunity to make a significant impact as Regulatory Specialist within our Business Area Orbital Launch & Rocket Test. We are looking for a dedicated person who shares our core values of Customer Passion, Care, Collaboration, Curiosity and Courage.

As Regulatory Specialist, you will join the team supporting the regulatory and licensing activities connected to SSC Space's orbital launch ambitions and launch services. In this role, you will contribute to license applications, regulatory analysis and the continued development of processes for future launch operations. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise within the team and gradually take on greater responsibility.

We believe you have:

A university degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, European Studies or a related field.

Up to three years of relevant professional experience, or have recently graduated with strong academic credentials and a clear interest in regulatory affairs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions and decision material.

An interest in legislation, licensing, compliance and international regulatory frameworks.

A structured, proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Experience within aerospace, defence, export control, government authorities, compliance or other regulated industries is considered an advantage but is not required.

In this role you will:

Coordinate regulatory and licensing activities related to SSC Space orbital launch ambitions and launch services.

Prepare, manage and follow up license applications for launch vehicles, payloads and associated space activities.

Develop and establish regulatory processes, governance structures and compliance frameworks supporting future launch operations.

Monitor, interpret and communicate national and international regulations affecting launch services, satellite operations, export control and related activities.

Serve as SSC Space point of contact towards authorities, government agencies, industry stakeholders and international regulatory organizations.

Support customers and internal stakeholders by providing guidance on licensing requirements and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.

We offer you

A unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects and play an active role in both the Swedish and international space industry.

An excellent opportunity for personal and career development.

An exciting, international workplace characterized by an open atmosphere and proud employees all over the world.

Additional benefits

In addition to vacation and traditional public holidays, we offer extra paid leave throughout the year, such as time off between Christmas and New Year and Ascension Day.

Wellness allowance of SEK 5,000 per year.

Health benefits such as voluntary health insurance and regular health checks for eligible employees.

Access to a benefit bike through a tax-efficient leasing program.

Support for employee-driven activities that promote connection, health and culture across teams.

Collective Agreement, including attractive pension plans, parental pay and insurance.
