Join Scania Ventures and New Business

Scania Ventures and New Business builds new ventures that extend Scania's role in the transport ecosystem. We are looking for a Product Lead to help build and scale our digital platform for used Scania parts, connecting workshops and vehicle dismantlers to enable the reuse of high-quality spare parts through secure, scalable, and data-driven solutions.

The right person is a broad, hands-on product leader with strong technical fluency, able to connect product strategy, user needs, technical trade-offs, data, integrations, operational readiness, and AI-assisted ways of working into a clear direction for the team. You should be comfortable in a small, fast-paced venture environment where responsibilities are broad and decisions are made close to users and the product.

role is not initially a people-management role, but you will own the product team's operating rhythm, prioritization, and ways of working as well as the team's outcome. As the venture grows, you should be able to step into broader product and engineering leadership, including formal people leadership responsibilities, should that be needed.

Your Mission

As Product Lead, your mission is to own what is built, how it is built, and how well it serves users. You translate venture strategy, business priorities, customer needs, technical constraints, and operational realities into a desirable, reliable, well-architected, and scalable product.

You will work closely with business, commercial, finance, and operational stakeholders to align product direction, technical feasibility, commercial priorities, and scalable delivery.

You are also responsible for making the product team work effectively: setting priorities, creating clarity, maintaining delivery focus, and helping the team make good product and technical trade-offs.

The role requires strong technical understanding, product judgment, practical delivery ability, and comfort using AI tools as part of everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the product and technical platform strategy, roadmap, and prioritization logic for the used parts platform, ensuring that product decisions are grounded in user needs, business value, technical feasibility, and strategic fit.
  • Run the product development loop from discovery and signals to prioritization, delivery, release, learning, and iteration. You own the backlog together with the development team and ensure that work is clearly framed, sequenced, and deliverable.
  • Lead the product team's operational workflow, including prioritization, planning, decision-making rhythm, delivery follow-up, and continuous improvement of how the team works.
  • Work closely with users, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand workflows, adoption blockers, and market needs. You own the product logic and user journey quality across the platform, in close partnership with design and engineering.
  • Lead the technical direction, integration strategy, scalability, reliability, data foundations, and operational readiness. You do not need to be the deepest specialist in every domain, but you must be able to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and make sound product and delivery trade-offs.
  • Act as the primary product representative in internal reviews, rollout planning, stakeholder discussions, and partner conversations, while contributing to pragmatic, AI-driven, agile ways of working.
  • As the team grows, contribute to building a strong product culture through mentoring, clearer ownership, and eventually broader product leadership responsibilities.

Who You Are

We think the ideal candidate is either a senior product leader with strong technical understanding or a technical leader with strong product thinking. You have a hands-on delivery mindset and are comfortable working close to engineering, users, business priorities, and operational constraints.

You think in systems and user journeys, not isolated features. You understand that a live platform must work across product, technology, data, operations, support, onboarding, and commercial adoption.

You are able to create clarity for a small team: what matters now, what can wait, what needs discovery, and what must be built properly from the start.

You listen to all inputs, but you do not build for every request. You prioritize what creates value for many users, supports the strategy, and makes business sense.

Your Background

  • You bring significant experience from product leadership, technical product management and leadership, venture building, platform products, marketplace products, or digital product delivery.
  • You have experience owning product direction and delivery in close collaboration with engineering teams. You understand modern software development, cloud platforms, data models, APIs, integrations, analytics, UX, CI/CD, and operational readiness well enough to make sound product and delivery trade-offs.
  • You have experience leading product work in practice: setting priorities, aligning teams, structuring delivery, mentoring others, and creating effective ways of working in cross-functional environments. Formal people-management experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with B2B platforms, marketplaces, multi-stakeholder products, automotive, transport, circularity, logistics, spare parts, or enterprise integrations is highly relevant.
  • You are fluent in English. Swedish and additional languages is an advantage.

Your Personal Traits

  • You are structured, analytical, and pragmatic, with strong judgement around product, technical, and delivery trade-offs.
  • You communicate clearly across business and technology domains and can create clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • You are comfortable with broad responsibility, shifting priorities, hands-on work, and informal leadership in a venture environment.
  • You are able to mentor others, raise the quality of product discussions, and help a small team stay focused without adding unnecessary process.
  • You are AI-native in your product work: you know how to use AI tools to move faster while maintaining judgment, quality, and ownership of the output.

Why Join Us

You will play a central role in building and scaling a new digital venture inside Scania's innovation ecosystem.
You will help shape the product, operating model, and scaling path for a platform that supports real workflows and contributes directly to circularity and sustainability in the transport industry.
