Description

The Platform Technical Lead is responsible for overall technical coordination, architectural alignment, and technical quality across platform maintenance and development activities. The role ensures that technical decisions, designs, interfaces, and implementation approaches remain consistent with agreed platform architecture, engineering standards, and delivery objectives. The Technical Lead works closely with platform stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams, provides technical direction, and supports the progressive transfer of platform knowledge and ownership.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Software Architect, Technical Lead, or equivalent role in complex embedded software or automotive platform development.
• Strong experience with embedded software architecture, complex ECU platforms, software integration, and cross-functional engineering environments.
• Strong AUTOSAR competence, particularly AUTOSAR Classic Platform architecture and concepts, including software components, Basic Software (BSW), and the Runtime Environment (RTE).
• Practical experience with AUTOSAR configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and interaction between application software and platform services is highly desirable.
• Understanding of multi-ECU architectures and software-defined vehicle concepts, including interface management and platform-level dependencies.
• Experience with architecture and design governance, technical decision-making, risk management, and systematic root-cause analysis.
• Good understanding of automotive software development processes, engineering quality practices, continuous integration, and delivery toolchains.
• Working knowledge of C/C++; scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages is beneficial.
• Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams and coordinating technical topics across organizational boundaries.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

• Version control and code review: Git, Gerrit.
• CI/CD and automation: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Zuul, Cynosure, Ansible.
• Verification and integration: CANoe and related integration/debugging tools.
• Build and deployment ecosystem: Artifactory, Docker.
• Monitoring and reporting: Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, and related dashboards.
• Collaboration and lifecycle tools: Jira, Confluence, and applicable requirements/engineering tools.
• Engineering frameworks and processes: applicable platform development, engineering, and quality standards.

Job responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day technical coordination across platform workstreams.
• Maintain architectural alignment and consistency across software components, interfaces, integrations, and releases.
• Contribute to platform architecture, design reviews, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards; document recommendations and decisions.
• Provide technical guidance on embedded software, ECU/platform integration, software component design, and system-level dependencies.
• Apply AUTOSAR architectural principles and support alignment between software architecture, platform configuration, and integration needs.
• Coordinate technical dependencies and interfaces between development, integration, verification, quality, and other relevant engineering teams.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; escalate critical topics with clear impact analysis and proposed options.
• Lead or coordinate technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex platform issues.
• Promote software quality, maintainability, reuse, robustness, and integration efficiency throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support integration planning, technical readiness reviews, release preparation, and resolution of issues affecting delivery milestones.
• Encourage continuous improvement in engineering practices, automation, development workflows, and technical governance.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, accessible, and maintained, and support knowledge transfer across teams.
• Provide clear technical status, risks, decisions, and recommendations to program and engineering stakeholders.
