Do you want to be part of building the future of clean energy in Sweden? We are bringing together talented engineers, designers, project professionals, and technical specialists to help deliver one of the most significant industrial projects of our time.

About the role

We are looking for a Generator Component Specialist with both solid theoretical knowledge and practical experience of power plant main generators. The position is based in Solna, Stockholm, and you will work closely with the Electrical Engineering team within Engineering & Projects, Fortum's Nuclear Generation in Espoo, Finland. Engineering & Projects provides technical expertise and delivers projects across our Nuclear Businesses, employing around 200 top professionals. We support new nuclear development, external customers through Nuclear Services, our co-owned nuclear plants in Sweden and Finland, and our fully owned Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant in Finland.

You will collaborate with Fortum's extensive network of nuclear experts and may also contribute to assignments for other nuclear industry customers. Initially, the selected person will focus on new nuclear development in Sweden and supporting our external customers, with opportunities to take on broader assignments and projects across our Nuclear Business over time.

  • Have solid experience from generators in power plants and related subsystems
  • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering.
  • You are a specialist who can work independently and lead the work of authority, colleagues, consultants and stakeholder interfaces in your expertise area.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English. Swedish or Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
  • You are open to travel. The role involves regular collaboration with colleagues in Espoo and travel within and between Sweden and Finland, as well as occasional travel to other countries.

We offer you

At Fortum, we believe in a better future and want to be involved in shaping it. Our workplace is a safe place, both physically and mentally. You will grow with professional colleagues, being trusted and free to challenge yourself. We offer comprehensive benefits, flexible working hours, and hybrid work model to support your productivity, development and wellbeing.
