For a Nordic Business Manager role focused on airport staff / Travel Retail, Our customer is looking for a Nordics manager with strong leadership and people management skills. Below is a realistic overview based on comparable roles in premium beauty brands.
Overall Responsibility
Own and drive sales performance, growth, and profitability across Nordic airport locations
Lead and develop airport-based beauty retail teams across multiple countries (e.g. Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland) based out of Stockholm.
Ensure brand excellence and consistent execution of the brands DNA in all travel retail touchpoints
Core Requirements
Experience
2-8+ years of experience in retail, luxury, or beauty
Background as Business Manager, Area Manager, Retail Manager, or similar
Prior experience in Travel Retail / airport environments is a strong advantage
Proven experience leading remote, multi-country teams
Industry & Brand Understanding
Strong understanding of the premium/luxury beauty consumer
Ability to drive performance through: Product storytelling & demonstrations
Retail activations and launches
Commercial campaigns
Capable of balancing commercial objectives with brand guardianship
Leadership & People Management
Demonstrated ability to: Coach, and develop high-performing retail teams
Work with performance management, KPIs, and incentive structures
Build engagement and retention in high-turnover environments (typical for airports)
Naturally inspiring, motivational, and hands-on leadership style
Commercial & Analytical Skills
Strong experience with: Forecasting, and sales tracking
Retail KPIs such as SPH, ATV, conversion rate, shrinkage
Using data insights to drive action
Comfortable collaborating with: Travel retail operators (e.g. Avolta/Dufry, Lagardère, Heinemann)
Airport management and external partners
Note: reporting to Travel Retail Manager - EU North
Additional:
Fast pased brand environment with continuous NPD & VM updates to manage and report.
Languages & Practical Requirements
Fluent English (corporate language)
At least one Nordic language (often required)
Willingness to travel frequently/ weekly across the Nordics
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercial airport environment
